About Us
After much reflection and years of hard work and dedication to my clients, many of whom have become friends, I have made the decision to retire, with my last day being April 15th, 2025.
In planning for this transition, I was determined to find a small firm rather than see my practice absorbed into a larger corporation or private equity firm. My priority was to find someone with high professional standards who would provide the personal attention you deserve. I wanted someone who is highly personable, whose tax and accounting abilities are top-notch, and who would maintain our local office presence.
I am pleased to share that I have found these qualities in Scott Schweiger of Night Owl CPA. Scott has been working in local CPA firms since 2012 and is licensed as a CPA with the state of Wisconsin. You can rest assured that he is well-qualified to provide continuity in all your tax matters. Moreover, with his extensive background in business and personal planning, Scott will enhance the services available to you, including comprehensive tax planning, financial planning, and retirement planning. I strongly believe in Scott’s qualifications and full-service approach to your tax and planning needs, and I am confident that he is the right successor for my practice.
The service you will continue to experience working with us at Night Owl CPA comes from years of comprehensive training, commitment to integrity, and most of all, a passion for helping our clients. All of this enables us to find the best tax solutions for you today and in the future.
Thank you for your support over the years!
Meg Schell, CPA
Former President of Schell CPA, LLC
Meg’s accounting journey began in the corporate world. After 7 years of sitting in an office cubicle in Chicago, she knew the corporate world of accounting wasn’t right for her. She and her husband moved to Madison to raise their 2 boys and took an interest in taxation. Meg began preparing taxes in 1996. This career change developed into her true passion. Working with people and their taxes became extremely rewarding as she came to know her clients personally and the challenges that tax preparation presented to them. Meg holds a BBA in accounting from Wayne State University in Detroit and obtained her CPA through the University of Illinois.
In her spare time, Meg plays as much tennis as possible. Entering retirement, she and her husband look forward to traveling and spending the summers sailing Lake Michigan.
